What Happens at Night Book by Peter Cameron

What Happens at Night by Peter Cameron is an atmospheric, surreal novel about an unnamed American couple who travel to a remote, snowy European city to adopt a baby, hoping to save their failing marriage. The story, which has been described as "Kafka-like" and a "masterpiece" by some reviewers, is set primarily in the eerie and deserted Borgarfjaroasysla Grand Imperial Hotel.
